Message Hey guys...

I was wondering if anyone had ever researched best place to locate hood vents.

I did the LS1 swap on my car, and it is running well, but the amount of heat that the LS1 puts off is immense. The cooling system will cool the car, but when I flog it, it struggles to keep the temp within the normal range. I hope to autocross the car, so I want to put some vents in the hood. I found a KingZ nose panel which will help a lot, but I think adding some vents will increase cooling dramatically.

The hood on the car is the one thing that didn't turn out well when I painted it a couple years ago, so I will use it for my vented hood, and procure another one to repaint and use under normal conditions.

I am going to use two of these:

I am thinking right behind the radiator will work the best, but I have never seen any wind tunnel images for the z32, so am unsure where to place them.

Thoughts?
